Can a catalogue-style blog really be called journalism?

Perhaps an array of photographs followed by a light explanation and comment might feel too much like a catalogue or a fashion magazine, but in this article the writers have expressed more opinion than fact.

I am Fashion is a descriptive page full of fashion items and the writers are two young women from London and New York with a passion for fashion. They have pulled out a list of seasonal items to review for us and have described what each item is like by testing them; wearing the shows and painting on the nail varnish.

The page, which is full of photographs, attempts to draw the viewer in with bright and colourful photos, and in truth, the large photos might distract you from the writing. However the bloggers (Barneys Girl and Harrods Girl) speak in such colloquial language that you almost feel like you are talking to the writers themselves. This makes it easy reading and entertaining.

The trap is this could easily fall into something that looks too much like a catalogue. It looks and feels like a catalogue but the writing is more expressive. Im not really sure this can be classed as journalism.
